The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Paris hosted a business outreach reception titled “Awareness Session on Business Opportunities in Sri Lanka and Promotion of Sri Lanka Expo 2026”, bringing together a group of potential businessmen, importers, and investors interested in exploring opportunities in Sri Lanka.

Ms. Sanju Dasanayake, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy, delivered the welcome remarks, highlighting Sri Lanka’s continued commitment to strengthening economic cooperation and fostering business partnerships with international stakeholders.

During the reception, Ms. Prasadi Boomawalage, First Secretary (Commercial) of the Embassy, made a comprehensive presentation outlining Sri Lanka’s potential in trade, tourism, and investment, while also presenting Sri Lanka Expo 2026 as a key platform for international buyers and investors to engage directly with Sri Lankan businesses.

The gathering included representatives from MEDEF International, Core Energy Consortium, Commerce Equitable, leading tea importers sourcing from Sri Lanka, representatives from Air France, Top Tech College, and other business stakeholders interested in expanding partnerships with Sri Lanka.

The reception concluded with authentic Sri Lankan cuisine, offering guests a taste of the island’s rich culinary heritage with traditional dishes such as #Hoppers, #String_Hoppers, and Sri Lankan desserts including #Watalappam, followed by freshly brewed #Ceylon_Tea.

This initiative forms part of the Embassy’s 2026 business outreach programme, aimed at building confidence among international partners and encouraging stronger engagement with Sri Lanka’s emerging opportunities while promoting Sri Lanka Expo 2026 as a well-connected platform for buyer and investor interactions.
