The newly appointed Ambassador-designate of Sri Lanka to the Republic of France and Permanent Delegate of Sri Lanka to UNESCO Manisha Gunasekera assumed duties at the  Embassy of Sri Lanka in Paris on Monday 27 February 2023. Her assumption of duties was marked by a simple ceremony organised by the staff of the Sri Lanka Embassy.

The Permanent Delegation of Sri Lanka participated in the UNESCO International Mother Languages Day 2023 Celebration organized by the Permanent Delegation of Bangladesh in line with UNESCO’s theme “Safeguarding Indigenous Languages for Promoting Multilingualism through Transforming Education” on 20-21 February 2023 held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

L'Association Liens et Cultures in Bondy held the graduation of their Language Training Programme on January 28, 2023 in Bondy, France.
The ceremony was attended by 150 students, primarily from the Tamil community, as well as students from other communities who had learned Tamil, French, English, and Arabic under the guidance of L'Association Liens et Cultures.

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) successfully participated in the 42 nd edition of FITUR International Travel Mart, held from January 18th to 22nd, 2023 in Madrid, Spain.
