Ms. Sanju Dasanayake, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Paris, together with Ms. Prasadi Boomawalage, First Secretary (Commercial), held a productive meeting with representatives of MEDEF International, including Mr. Eric Le Corre, Chairman of the France–Sri Lanka Business Council, and Mr. Vithursan Wigneshwaran, South Asia Desk Officer.
The discussions focused on further enhancing trade and investment engagement between Sri Lanka and France, promoting Sri Lanka as a competitive and attractive destination for French businesses, and exploring opportunities for deeper collaboration with the French private sector. The meeting also highlighted the importance of business networking platforms, experience-sharing by French companies operating in Sri Lanka, and greater engagement between the business communities of both countries.
Further to the successful business engagement organized by MEDEF International in January 2026 with the participation of Hon. Chathuranga Abeysinghe, Deputy Minister of Industry of Sri Lanka. Further, MEDEF International expressed its keen interest in welcoming a high-level delegation from Sri Lanka to France, with a view to further strengthening bilateral economic relations and unlocking new opportunities for trade, investment, and business partnerships between the two countries.
